Q&A with Our Top Beta Testers
Before we launched Tchaikovsky publicly, we invited a small group of musicians, producers, and hobbyists to test the platform — to push buttons, break things, and tell us what felt good (or didn’t).
These people helped shape the app into what it is now. So we thought we’d share some of their thoughts — unfiltered, honest, and super helpful.
“What surprised you most about using Tchaikovsky?”
“I expected generic loops. What I got were melodies that actually had structure. I kept tweaking and realized I was spending more time arranging than fixing. That’s a good sign.”
– Arun, producer (India)
“I’ve tried a bunch of AI tools and they all spit out locked audio. This was the first time I could move individual notes around — it felt like collaborating instead of just reacting.”
– Samira, composer (Germany)
“How are you using the AI in your workflow?”
“Mostly as a spark. I’ll put in a vibe — like ‘80s action soundtrack’ — then build around what it gives me. It’s fast. Cuts the early writing time in half.”
– Leo, indie game developer (USA)
“I use it for chords. I’m a melody-first kind of person, so having some fresh harmonic ideas to play off has been amazing. Especially when I’m stuck.”
– Mint, singer-songwriter (Thailand)
“What’s your favorite feature so far?”
“The ability to edit AI-generated tracks immediately. No download, no switching tools — just click, drag, and go. It’s the first AI tool I’ve actually integrated into my workflow.”
– Jun, beatmaker (Japan)
“Honestly? Exporting sheet music. I didn’t think I’d use it, but being able to turn something I generated into actual notation for session players was surprisingly useful.”
– Alex, film scorer (UK)
“What would you improve?”
“Would love a stronger sense of rhythm in the AI output sometimes — like more groove-based generation. But I know that’s a hard problem.”
– Nok, DJ (Thailand)
“A way to organize my projects better — like folders or tags. I’m generating so many ideas, I’m starting to lose track.”
– Daniel, hobbyist (Canada)
Final Thoughts
We’re constantly learning from our early users — what they love, what they ignore, what they break.
Beta testing isn’t just about feedback. It’s about collaboration.
Huge thanks to everyone who tested early. You helped turn this from an idea into something real.
