Exporting MIDI, WAV, MP3 & Sheet Music
Once you’ve created and edited your music inside Tchaikovsky, the next step is getting it out of the app — whether you want to remix it, record vocals over it, perform it live, or print it out as sheet music.
Exporting is simple, and there are multiple options depending on what you need.
Here’s a quick guide.
Step 1: Finish Your Project
Before exporting, make sure you’ve arranged your tracks the way you want them:
- Adjust timing, velocity, and instruments if needed.
- Double-check the loop points or song length.
- Save your project if you want to come back to it later.
When you’re ready, click the “Export” button.
Step 2: Choose Your Export Format
Tchaikovsky offers four main export options:
-
MIDI (.mid):
Exports the raw note data. Perfect for loading into another DAW like Ableton, FL Studio, or Logic Pro for further editing. -
WAV (.wav):
High-quality audio file. Great for mastering, uploading to platforms, or layering into a project. -
MP3 (.mp3):
Compressed audio file. Easier for sharing via email, social media, or quick demos. -
Sheet Music (PDF):
Generates traditional notation of your composition. Perfect for live performers, session musicians, or music students.
Pick the format (or formats) you need — you can export more than one if you want.
Step 3: Customize Export Settings (If Needed)
Some formats allow extra options:
- Set export length (full song vs selection).
- Adjust output tempo or sample rate for audio exports.
- Choose whether to include metadata.
For most users, the defaults work fine — but it’s nice to have the flexibility.
Step 4: Download and Share
After export, your files will be ready to download immediately.
From there, you can:
- Import MIDI into your main DAW
- Upload audio to SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, etc.
- Print sheet music for rehearsals or lessons
It’s fast, clean, and built to fit into any workflow — whether you’re a producer, teacher, or live performer.
Final Thoughts
Tchaikovsky isn’t just about creating — it’s about getting your music out into the world in whatever form you need.
Export what you make.
Share it. Perform it. Remix it.
It’s yours.
That’s the whole point.
